COACHING
David has over 20 years of experience coaching actors on auditions, role preparation, as well as rep-building—wherever YOU are artistically, David will meet you there, guiding your authentic self to soar into the material. Click below to learn more!
-
Unlike other coaches, with David you’re getting a coach who as a director has sat '“behind the table” in an audition room and seen what works and what doesn’t; as a professor has taught Audition Skills courses and adjudicated the college-admission process; and as a coach worked with performers of all skills and levels: students working on their college auditions, professional actors in NYC looking to book their next job, and Tony & Grammy Award winning artists preparing for their next projects.
-
That’s more than ok! David will help you learn your process for learning and refining material in a safe and friendly space. Congratulations on starting this adventure!
-
Aye aye, let’s book this thing. With David you’ll have a chance to dig deeper into the materials, memorize faster, and feel confident heading into your callback.
-
Having an audition book of songs that not only showcase your own, individual, unique talent—but also are in the different styles and genres that the casting teams will ask to see will get you ahead. David’s rich knowledge of musical theatre will point you in the right direction.
-
Each hour session on Zoom costs $100, and is payable by Venmo or Zelle. Please inquire about in-person coachings!

"David is an insane talent and an incredibly honest coach. He is so approachable and loving in his teaching method. I went to him for a sort of crash course in everything acting before a huge series of callbacks. David helped guide me to make strong choices, finding the honesty and motivation for every nuance and every line. Thanks to his guidance, I made my Broadway debut!”
ASHLEY LOREN
Broadway: Moulin Rouge, Jekyll & Hyde -

"I’ve been working with David for over 20 years because he’s just an amazing director and coach. I’ve always turned to him for auditions, callbacks, and coaching — the way he quickly analyzes material is something only an experienced director can do. As an acting coach, he gives honest feedback, finds the FUNNY, (tricky comedy auditions, anyone?) and encourages actors to lean into their choices. He’s absolutely the kind of acting coach you want in your corner. I literally call on David for every theatre audition, and he makes it better every single time. I promise once you work with him, he’ll be the only call you make too."
CASSANDRA BLAIR
TV: “Jury Duty,” “Hacks” -

"I purposely pick David for coaching because of his strengths in storytelling. He is a master at crafting an actor's work into a clear picture that still allows their individuality. I shouldn't say much more because I selfishly want him to be my best kept secret!!"
HANNAH ELLESS
